Robert Richer, SMA
President 2008
Robert Richer is the Engineering Manager at 301 Congress for Hines Interest. He has over 12 years of faculties experience including 4 years in hotel industry. Robert has received his SMA/SMT from BOMI and attended Capitol City Trade and Technical School. He has been an AAFAME member for over 7 years and has served on the board of directors for the past 4 years (second term as President). Robert enjoys jogging, traveling, and fishing.
Personal goal for AAFAME: "Get the AAFAME name more recognized city wide while keeping our core values and mission statement true"

Sam Magee, SMA
Vice President
Sam Magee is the building engineer for Jones Lang LaSalle at Sun Microsystems. He has worked at Sun for over 5 years and has been in the engineering field for 7+ years. His previous experience includes working at Austin Museum of Art, remodeling and photography. Sam received a BA in General Studies from Texas Tech University and received his SMA in 2005. He has also been involved with AAFAME for over 5 years and has served on the Chili Slam Committee and participated in the Planning Session. Sam is married with two kids, one cat and enjoys biking and photography.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "To one day hear AAFAME talked about by non-members in all walks of Austin society."

Russell Haynes, SMA, FMA
Treasurer
Russell Haynes served in the US Army for eight years working in Phase Maintenance and Inspection on the AH-1F Cobra Attack Helicopter. He spent four years working as an industrial maintenance technician in a small manufacturing plant. Russell has been employed by REIT Management and Researc h for eight years working in commercial real estate. For the past five years he has been assigned to Bridgepoint Square as Lead Engineer where he supervise and conducts maintenance on a campus of 440,000 sq ft. He received his SMA in 2005 and his FMA in 2006. He has been a member of AAFAME for eight years and this year he served as chair for the volunteer committee.
Personal goal for AAFAME: To assist all of it's members in achieving professional growth through this outstanding organization and all it has to offer.

David Shott, SMA
Secretary
David Shott is the Assistant Chief Engineer for Moore & Associates in the north Austin and Round Rock area. He has been in the industry for over 10 years. Other Experience includes commercial and residential remodeling as well as commercial automation and controls. David recently received the SMT designation from BOMI and is studying for the last two classes for his SMA designation. This past year David served on the AAFAME luncheon programs committee. David is married with 2 children and enjoys playing bass and running the sound board for his church's band.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "I would like to see AAFAME known through out the industry as an example of what can be accomplished through the dedication of those who wish to advance the industry as a whole. I am pleased to be nominated to a board that has set such a high standard."

Corey Gillespie, SMA
Immediate Past President 2006
Corey Gillespie is the Chief Engineer with Texas Guaranteed Student Loan for the past 4 years. In the past he has worked for Equity Office, Littlefield Real Estate Company and proudly served in the United States Navy. He has been in the business for 11 years plus 4 years in Navy working in the engineering department of the ship where he was responsible for instrumentation and controls for the engineering department. Corey also received his journeymen’s electrical license in the State of New Mexico where he attended New Mexico State University. He received his SMA in 2000. Corey has been an AAFAME member since 1996 and is our current 2006 President. Corey is the proud husband of his beautiful wife Brenda and their two children.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: “Continue the long tradition of excellent training and get some old “Salty Chiefs” involved for mentoring. I had a great mentor that accelerated my career.”

Erin Whalen
Vendor Director
Erin Whalen serves as the director of business development for Southpro Restoration Services. Erin has been extremely active in AAFAME, chairing the community services committee for the past two years. She helped spearhead the Angelheart Extreme Makeover and the AAFAME Amazing Race. When not working or participating in numerous other commercial organizations (BOMA, AAFAME, IREM, CREW, and ACOE to name a few), Erin can usually be found running, biking, swimming, volunteering or hanging out at the Blanton Museum or AMOA.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "To actively represent AAFAME’s vendor members and serve as means of communication and support for all our fabulous members."

Stac Duff, SMA
Engineer Director
Stac Duff is a Chief Operating Engineer for CB Richard Ellis at Southpark One. He has an Associates of Applied Science degree from Austin Community College in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology. Stac has received his SMA from BOMI and is currently working on his FMA designation. He has over 20 years experience in the facility maintenance and engineering field. Stac has been a member of AAFAME for 4 years and served as co-chairman for the Community Services Community in 2007. He is married and has two sons. His hobbies include boating, collecting and restoring antique tools and home improvement projects.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "To continue the outstanding record of promoting professionalism and education in the facility and maintenance engineering fields through networking and training"
